Dr Luke Veterinary Surgeon | Director

Dr. Luke’s journey into veterinary care began in Sydney, where he completed his Veterinary Science degree with first-class honours at the University of Sydney in 2003. Moving to Wollongong in 2004, he became part of the Wollongong Veterinary Hospital group, which later merged into Greencross Vets. Luke honed his leadership skills, managing several vet hospitals across the Illawarra as Veterinary Director from 2011 until 2024.In 2025, Luke is set to open the Coastal Vet Collective, an exciting new venture. His passion for small animal medicine led him to pursue advanced education, earning his membership with the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in 2011. He also holds qualifications in management and training, and loves mentoring colleagues and new veterinarians.
Luke’s personal life is as busy as his professional one. Living in Wollongong with his wife Karli and their children, they share their home with two dogs, a cat, three chickens, and two ducks.
Luke enjoys staying active, with a particular love for running, swimming, and watching sports.

Dr Kevin is a dedicated Veterinarian with 25 years of experience working as a Vet in the Illawarra. Having worked in several clinics and previously owning the Crown Street Veterinary Hospital for several years, Dr Kevin has been providing compassionate and comprehensive care to the loved pets of the Illawarra.Although he cares for all creatures, Kevin’s passion lies in caring for our feline friends. Dr Kevin has completed further training to help better understand and care for our feline patients. He has used this knowledge during the design of the new clinic, aiming to improve the experience for our feline friends and their owners when visiting us.
Dr Kevin also has a keen interest, and clinical expertise in Soft Tissue Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery and Post-Operative Management. He strives to ensure the best outcomes for his patients.
When not in the office Dr Kevin loves spending time at the beach and Camping with his family. He is also the proud fur-parent of a cheeky but cute miniature Dachshund called Lulu Cinnamon and a Goofy but adorable German Wired pointer called Becca.

Kerrie grew up on a farm in the Southern Highlands . Her addiction to be around animals followed her to the coast and she has been working in veterinary for the past 15 years.
Kerrie has two Burmese cats at home and is particularly interested in feline environmental enrichment and is fascinated by breed characteristics in both dogs and cats.
Having started out working as a vet nurse then switching to become solely customer care, Kerrie has a great insight into working in both facets of the clinic and continues to strive for complete care for both patient and client.
During the weekend you’ll catch her at the beach or pool side with her husband and children, on the farm with her family or snuggled up with a cat or two.

Brodie made the move from Newcastle to the South Coast in 2018, following the completion of her Certificate IV in Vet Nursing.
Over the past 7 years, she has worked in both General Practice and Emergency Vet Hospitals, gaining a wealth of experience.
During this time, Brodie has also had the opportunity to mentor and guide fellow veterinary nurses, helping them grow in their careers and develop new skills.Her professional interests include medical management, patient care, and animal behaviour.
Outside of work, Brodie enjoys gardening, hiking, and spending quality time with her partner, Harry, and their two German Pointers, Reuben and Kora.

Dione is a passionate and experienced veterinary nurse who got her start in 2009 as a volunteer and hasn’t looked back since.
She earned her Certificate IV in veterinary nursing in 2012 and has continued to expand her skills over the years.
While she’s worked in both general practice and emergency hospitals, her heart truly belongs in general practice where she loves supporting your pet through every stage of life.Always eager to learn, Dione regularly takes part in continuing education to ensure the highest standards of care.
As a fear free advocate, she strives to make every veterinary visit as stress-free as possible, for both pets and their families.
With a keen interest in inpatient care, pathology, anaesthesia and pain management - and a soft spot for senior pets and anything feline - she brings warmth and expertise to every interaction.When she’s not at work, you’ll find her at home relaxing with her two retired blood donor cats, two bearded dragons and 24yr old lorikeet, usually with a good book in hand.

Liam kicked off his vet nursing career in 2019.
He takes great pride in every aspect of nursing although he is particularly passionate about providing exceptional care for animals.
He is a strong advocate for his patients, ensuring that each one remains comfortable, pain-free, and stress-free during their time in the hospital. Whether it’s through pain management, gentle handling, or creating a calm environment, Liam goes above and beyond to make sure every animal feels safe and supported.
Outside of work, Liam enjoys an active lifestyle. When he's not caring for animals, you'll find him hitting the slopes skiing at the snow, creating music or spending time with his dog, Rigby, an Italian Greyhound, who’s always by his side.

Abigail began her Animal Studies at Yallah TAFE in 2022 while recently graduating as a Cert IV Vet Nurse in 2024, all while gaining hands-on experience by volunteering with two local wildlife rescues.
Originally from Canada, Abigail loves the unique wildlife of Australia and enjoys hiking or canoeing with her partner to observe animals in their natural environments.
Her veterinary passions include anaesthesia, surgical nursing, and pathology.
Outside of clinic hours, Abigail is accompanied by her rambunctious furry sidekick, a Bull Arab X Great Dane named Ella who keeps her busy with dog beach walks and exploring on outdoor adventures.
When it’s time to unwind, Abigail enjoys hiking, reading, and knitting.
Jessica Veterinary Nurse

Jess is a passionate Veterinary Nurse with 14 years of hands-on experience and 10 years as a Trainer and Assessor. In her training role, she has travelled across NSW, ACT, and QLD, working closely with clinics to mentor and guide new nurses. Jess thrives on showing them the value and impact of their work, particularly enjoying the teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking that come with complex medical cases.In 2023, she transitioned to teaching Veterinary Nursing at TAFE, where she now shares her expertise with the future generation of nurses.
When she's not working, Jess enjoys spending quality time with her husband, baby, and their beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Buddy. The family loves going bushwalking and catching up with friends.
